Richard Kind Stars in Tom Stoppard's Travesties at Bay Street Theatre

Sag Harbor's Bay Street Theatre will present a production of Tom Stoppard's Tony-winning comedy Travesties from June 24-July 20. Gregory Boyd directs.
Set in 1917 and 1974 in Zurich, Switzerland, the play fantasizes a British consul named Henry Carr encountering some of the most famous figures of the 20th century, including James Joyce, Tristan Tzara, and Lenin, through an amateur production of The Importance of Being Earnest.
Tony nominee Richard Kind (Spin City, The Big Knife) leads the cast as Henry Carr, along with Michael Benz (Downton Abbey) as Tristan Tzara, Carson Elrod (Peter and the Starcatcher) as James Joyce, Aloysius Gigl (Les Miserables) as Bennett, Isabel Keating (Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark) as Nadya, Julia Motyka (Richard III) as Gwendolen, Emily Trask (Twelfth Night) as Cecily, and Andrew Weems (Born Yesterday) as Lenin.
The creative team includes Wendy Seyb (movement consultant), Neil Patel and Caleb Levengood (scenic design), Judith Dolan (costume design), Rui Rita (lighting design), John Gromada (sound design), Kathy Fabian (props master), Pamela Prather (dialect coach), Rick Sordelet (fight director), and Vincent Rodriguez (magician consultant).
