Renée Elise Goldsberry and More Join We Rise: A Celebration of Resistance

The Public Theater has announced full casting for its free one-night-only Public Forum event, We Rise: A Celebration of Resistance, to take place at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park on Monday, August 13.

Newly announced are Jojo Abot, Ayo, Abby Dobson, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Deva Mahal, Indya Moore, Jess Morales, Angel Nafis, Diana Oh, and members of the Rebel Verses Ensemble from Developing Artists.

The event will also feature appearances and performances by Valerie June, Shakina Nayfack, the Resistance Revival Chorus, Shaina Taub, and Flor de Toloache. It is described as "a joyful look at the past, present, and future of resistance and civic engagement as the country starts to turn its attention to the midterm elections."

Free tickets will be distributed at the Delacorte Theater beginning at noon on August 13, limited to two per person.
