Broadway welcomed back theatrical royalty last night when Prince of Broadway, the long-awaited biographical musical about theatrical impresario Harold Prince, celebrated opening night at Broadway's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Get a glimpse of the royal court in the gallery below.

Prince of Broadway includes songs and scenes from many of the shows that earned its namesake a record 21 Tony Awards. The show features a book by two-time Tony nominee David Thompson (The Scottsboro Boys); new songs, arrangements, orchestrations, and music supervision by three-time Tony winner Jason Robert Brown (The Bridges of Madison County); codirection and choreography by five-time Tony winner Susan Stroman (The Producers); and direction by Prince himself.

The cast features Tony Award winner Chuck Cooper (Caroline, or Change), Drama Desk Award winner Janet Dacal (In the Heights), Bryonha Marie Parham (After Midnight), Tony Award nominee Emily Skinner (Side Show), two-time Tony Award nominee Brandon Uranowitz (Falsettos), Kaley Ann Voorhees (The Phantom of the Opera), two-time Olivier Award nominee Michael Xavier (Sunset Boulevard), Tony Award nominee Tony Yazbeck (On the Town), and Tony Award winner Karen Ziemba (Contact).

The creative team includes Beowulf Boritt (scenic and projection design), William Ivey Long (costume design), Howell Binkley (lighting design), Jon Weston (sound design), Paul Huntley (wig design), Angelina Avallone (makeup design), and Fred Lassen (music direction).
