PHOTO FLASH: Penn Badgley, Zoe Kravitz, Martha Plimpton, Annabella Sciorra at Fela! Re-Opening

On Thursday, July 12, the musical Fela! officially reopened on Broadway for a summer run at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, where it will run through August 4.

Opening night guests included original Fela! stars Kevin Mambo, Saycon Sengbloh, and Lillias White, as well as Penn Badgley, Jaime Cepero, Zoe Kravitz, Leila Lopes, Tonya Pinkins, Martha Plimpton, Annabella Sciorra, and Questlove.

This return New York engagement is part of the show’s world tour, which will continue with stops in Australia, Japan, a return to Africa, a reprise engagement at Los Angeles’ Ahmanson in May 2013 followed by the Chekov Festival in Moscow in June 2013 and numerous other cities around the world still to be announced.
