PHOTO FLASH: Lewis Black, Reeve Carney, Carla Gugino at Benefit for American Cancer Society

Comedian Lewis Black was the surprise, unannounced host of We’re Gonna Have to Ask You to Leave: A Benefit Concert to Kick Out Cancer, held Monday, January 23 at Birdland Jazz Club. Proceeds from the evening, which also featured a live and silent auction, went to the American Cancer Society.

Featured performers included Becky Ann Baker, Dylan Baker, Nick Blaemire, Reeve Carney, Kathleen Chalfant, Alison Fraser, Matthew Greer, Carla Gugino, Jonathan Hammond, Patti Murin, Jay O. Sanders, Carly Rose Sonenclar, Barbara Walsh, and Karen Walsh.

The concert was directed by Kris Kukul. Musical director Ray Fellman was joined by Lou Tucci on bass and Steve Singer on drums. The evening was produced by Karen Walsh and Eva Kaminsky.
