PHOTO FLASH: Joy Behar, Jane Krakowski, Patti LuPone, Mandy Patinkin, Jerry Zaks at Opening Week of 54 Below

Broadway’s new nightclub 54 Below opened this week with an engagement of two-time Tony Award-winner Patti LuPone‘s new show, Far Away Places.

Among the celebrities who came to see the show were Joy Behar, Douglas Carter Beane, Natalie Douglas, Jane Krakowski, Andrew Lippa, Darlene Love, Mandy Patinkin, and Jerry Zaks.

The space has been designed by architect Richard H. Lewis along with the Tony Award winning scenic designer John Lee Beatty. Ken Billington, also a Tony Award winner, has designed the lighting, with sound by Tony Award nominee Peter Hylenski. Tony Award winner Scott Wittman serves as creative consultant and MAC Award Winner Phil Geoffrey Bond serves as director of programming.
