PHOTO FLASH: John Cunningham, Donna McKechnie Visit Silence! The Musical

Celebrated actors John Cunningham and Donna McKechnie attended a performance of Off-Broadway’s Silence! The Musical, on Thursday, on May 31 at The 9th Space Theatre at PS 122.

With a book by Hunter Bell and music and lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, this unauthorized parody of the thriller Silence of the Lambs is directed and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli.

The performance was the final one for David Garrison, who plays Hannibal Lecter, prior to his scheduled vacation. As previously reported, the role is being played by Tony Award winner Shuler Hensley through June 24.

The cast also stars Jenn Harris (Clarice Starling) and Stephen Bienskie, and features Callan Bergmann, Harry Bouvy, Ashlee Dupré, Annie Funke, Howard Kaye, Topher Nuccio, Ronica V. Reddick, Pamela Bob and Doug Trapp. Music Supervisor is Mark Hartman, with orchestrations by Brian J. Nash.

Cunningham and McKechnie appeared together in the original 1970 production of Company, and each has numerous Broadway credits.
