On Monday, February 27, The New Group held their 2012 Gala, Cabaret Soirée, at the Edison Ballroom. Jeneane Garofalo and Morgan Spector hosted the evening, which featured performances by Alan Cumming, Veanne Cox, Jeremiah James, Jay Rogers, Penny Fuller, and Leslie Uggams.

The event honored David Rabe and Nancy Manocherian with The Michael Mendelson Award for Outstanding Commitment to Theater.

The evening’s guests also included Deema Aitken, Jo Bonney, Bobby Cannavale, Erin Darke, Josh Hamilton, Hamish Linklater, Daniel Oreskes, Alan Rickman, Lily Rabe, Wallace Shawn, Erika Sheffer, Sarah Steele, Raviv Ullman, and Halley Wegyn-Gross.
