The York Theatre Company is set to present two New York premieres of new musicals in November. First, a "New2NY" concert presentation of Jack: A Musical Drama on the Life of John F. Kennedy will play from November 1-3. Then, a Developmental Lab presentation of Buddy's Tavern will follow from November 13-15.

Jack: A Musical Drama on the Life of John F. Kennedy, written by Will Holt and Tom Sawyer and directed by Igor Goldin, follows JFK during his days at Harvard through his assassination in Dallas. The show focuses on Jack's fight to become his own man despite a difficult relationship with his power-obsessed father.

Buddy's Tavern features a book by Raymond De Felitta, music by Kim Oler, and lyrics by Alison Hubbard. Peter Flynn directs this romantic story of an Italian-American factory worker on Staten Island in 1956, based on the 2000 film Two Family House.

The York Theatre Company is dedicated to developing and fully producing new musicals and preserving neglected, notable shows from the past.
