Out of the Box's Vivian Bayubay McLaughlin to Star in Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas

OFC Creations Theatre in Rochester, New York, has announced that Vivian Bayubay McLaughlin, known for co-hosting Disney Channel’s Out of the Box series, will play Mrs. Alice “Ma” Otter in Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas. The show will run November 26-December 7.

Based on the Jim Henson television special, Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas features music and lyrics by Paul Williams, known for the song “The Rainbow Connection,” and a book by Timothy Allen McDonald and Christopher Gattelli.

In the show, Mayor Fox has just announced a Christmas talent contest with a grand prize of fifty dollars. Times are tough for Ma and Emmet Otter since Pa passed away, and winning that prize money would allow them to secretly buy each other a Christmas gift.
