The Broadway revival of Noises Off has announced a closing date of September 1.
A hit last season, and featuring a star-studded cast that included Peter Gallagher and Patti Lupone, Michael Frayn’s backstage comedy recently took on a new cast, headed by Jane Curtain in the Lupone role. Due to lackluster sales, the show is having to end its run less than a year after it officially opened on Broadway.
Noises Off will not be the only show shuttering on September 1. On that date, Private Lives will conclude its limited engagement, Contact will be ending its lengthy run, and The Full Monty will drop its drawers for the last time.
