
New Repertory Theatre, currently in residence at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, will host an open house at the theater on Thursday, August 20 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
New artistic director Kate Warner will be on hand to meet attendees and there will be a sneak peak of New Repertory’s upcoming season. Todd C. Gordon will play live music for the event and Paul D. Farwell (Mister Roberts and A Christmas Carol) will give backstage tours every half hour.
As previously announced, the New Repertory mainstage season will feature Mister Roberts by Thomas Heggen and Joshua Logan (September 13-October 4), David Mamet’s Speed-the-Plow (October 18-November 8), Chris Craddock’s Indulgences (January 17-February 7), Michael Hollinger’s Opus (March 28-April 18), and the David H. Bell-Rob Bowman musical, Hot Mikado (May 2-23), based on W.S. Gilbert-Arthur Sullivan operetta, The Mikado.
The Downstage @ New Rep shows will include Lisa Kron’s 2.5 Minute Ride (October 3-25), and boom by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb (February 20-March 14). This years holiday offerings will include Rick Lombardo’s adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol (December 6-27), and Joe Mantello’s adaptation of The Santaland Diaries by David Sedaris (December 16-January 3).
