Moulin Rouge! Tour Welcomes New Christian

From ”The Notebook” to Bohemia!

New cast has been set for Moulin Rouge! as it continues its north American tour.

John Cardoza, who originated the role of "Young Noah" in the musical adaptation of The Notebook and recently appeared in the world premiere of The Karate Kid – The Musical, will take over the role of Christian in the show beginning March 23 at the Music Hall in Dallas.

Cardoza will co-star alongside Courtney Reed, who continues in the role of Satine. Current cast members Austin Durant as Harold Zidler, Nick Rashad Burroughs as Toulouse-Lautrec, Andrew Brewer as The Duke of Monroth, Libby Lloyd as Nini, Gabe Martínez as Santiago, Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer as Satine Alternate, Harper Miles as La Chocolat, Nicci Claspell as Arabia and Andrés Quintero as Baby Doll will continue with the show.

The ensemble includes Sam J. Cahn, Jada Simone Clark, Darius Crenshaw, Alexa De Barr, Christian Douglas, Tyler Eisenreich, Paloma Garcia-Lee, Tommy Gedrich, Tamrin Goldberg, Alexis Hasbrouck, Cameron Hobbs, Jordan Fife Hunt, Justin Keats, Adam J. Levy, Tyler John Logan, Tanisha Moore, Pepe Muñoz, Brayden Newby, Kent Overshown, Ayden Pratt, Adéa Michelle Sessoms, Jenn Stafford, Denzel Tsopnang, Sharron Williams and Jennifer Wolfe.

Adapted from Baz Luhrmann's iconic 2001 film, Moulin Rouge! is directed by Tony Award winner Alex Timbers with a book by Tony Award winner John Logan, choreography by Tony Award winner Sonya Tayeh, and music supervision, orchestrations, and arrangements by Tony Award winner Justin Levine. The Broadway production, now running at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, is the winner of ten 2021 Tony Awards.
