Joe DiPietro and Jimmy Roberts’s musical will play the George Street Playhouse.
A newly updated edition of Joe DiPietro and Jimmy Roberts's long-running off-Broadway musical I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change will premiere at New Jersey's George Street Playhouse this fall. Directed by David Saint, the show runs October 10-November 12.
I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change follows the arc of relationships in insightful and hilarious ways. This new version will tackle the world of contemporary dating and modern love in all its forms.
Saint will direct a company made up of Broadway vets Karen Burthwright (Jesus Christ Superstar), Lindsay Nicole Chambers (Lysistrata Jones), Michell Jarvis (Rock of Ages), and George Merrick (Honeymoon in Vegas). The production will feature scenic design by Jim Youmans, costume design by Michael McDonald, lighting design by Joe Saint, sound design by Shannon Slaton, arrangements and additional orchestration by Doug Katsaros, musical direction and conducting by Joshua Zecher-Ross, and choreography by Charlie Williams.
