The Guthrie Theater is set to present Trick Boxing by Sossy Mechanics, August 17-September 2 in the Guthrie’s Dowling Studio.
Written, directed, choreographed, and performed by the duo of Megan McClellan and Brian Sostek, also known as Sossy Mechanics, Trick Boxing tells the story of Danny David, a down-on-his-luck apple seller who is deceived into becoming a boxer by a shady hustler.
McClellan and Sostek met while touring together with the dance company Joe Chvala and the Flying Foot Forum. Since beginning their collaboration, their work focuses on dance and movement-based theater.
