MCC Theater Opens The Light, Starring Mandi Masden and McKinley Belcher III

McKinley Belcher III and Mandi Masden opened in the MCC Theater production of The Light, written by Loy A. Webb, on Sunday, February 10. Logan Vaughn directs.

Webb's play introduces us to Rashad and Genesis on what should be one of the happiest days of their lives, but their joy quickly unravels when ground-shifting accusations from the past resurface. The work was originally developed at the New Colony in Chicago, which presented the world premiere at the Den Theatre in January 2018.

The production has scenic design by Kimie Nishikawa, costume design by Emilio Sosa, lighting design by Ben Stanton, and sound design by Elisheba Ittoop.
