Goodman Theatre has announced that Matt Crowle will star in its production of David Sedaris's The Santaland Diaries, directed by the company's longtime artistic associate Steve Scott, running in the Goodman's Owen Theatre November 30-December 30, with opening night set for December 6.

The Santaland Diaries is based on Sedaris's 1992 National Public Radio essay, which was later published in his essay collections Barrel Fever and Holidays on Ice. It was subsequently adapted by Joe Mantello into a one-act, one-man stage production, which premiered at Atlantic Theater Company in 1996 and has been performed across the nation for over the past two decades.

Crowle's previously credits include Spamalot on Broadway and the national tour of Doctor Dolittle. He has also starred in The Chi and Empire on television.
