Pascale Armand, Maria Dizzia, Greg Keller, and Gilbert Owuor will star in the world premiere of Amy Herzog’s Belleville, to be presented by Yale Repertory Theatre, October 21-November 12, with an opening on October 27. Anne Kauffman will direct.
In the play, young Americans Zack (Keller) and Abby (Dizzia) have the perfect ex-pat life in Paris: a funky bohemian apartment in up-and-coming Belleville; a stable marriage; and Zack’s noble mission to fight pediatric AIDS. But when Abby finds Zack at home one afternoon when he’s supposed to be at work, the questions and answers that follow shake the foundation of their seemingly beautiful life.
The production will feature sets by Julia C. Lee, costumes by Mark Nagle, lighting by Nina Hyun Seung Lee, sound by Robert Kaplowitz, and fight direction by Rick Sordelet.
