Stage favorite Loni Ackerman will bring her cabaret show Next to abnormal to the Metropolitan Room on Sundays October 7, 14, 21, and 28 at 7pm. Barry Kleinbort directs the piece, with musical direction by Paul Greenwood.
In the show, Ackerman, whose Broadway credits include the original runs of Evita and Cats, recounts personal stories of her New York upbringing, her childhood associations with family friends Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon, and revisits songs she sang in many New York hits. The concert includes one of her own compositions, as well.
