Manhattan Theater Club's Broadway premiere of Richard Greenberg's Our Mother’s Brief Affair, starring Tony winner Linda Lavin, celebrated its opening night on January 20 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Directed by Manhattan Theatre Club artistic director Lynne Meadow, the production marks the 11th collaboration between playwright Greenberg and MTC.

Lavin plays Anna, a family matriarch perennially on the verge of death, who makes a shocking confession to her grown children: an affair from her past that just might have resonance beyond the family. But how much of what she says is true? While her children try to separate fact from fiction, Anna fights for a legacy she can be proud of. The company also includes Kate Arrington (Grace), Greg Keller (Of Good Stock), and John Procaccino (Incident at Vichy).
