La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club will present the world premiere production of Clowns Ex Machina’s Clowns Full-Tilt: A Musing on Aesthetics at La MaMa’s First Floor Theatre, November 4-20.
The piece will explore the various facets of our culture with a mix of short vignettes, songs and dances which come together to create an absurd and fanciful evening of clown theatre.
Clown Ex Machina is a troupe of nine women clowns creating gleeful clown art. Under the direction of Kendall Cornell, the troupe puts a fresh, female turn on the ancient art form of clowning.
