The Broadway production of Giacomo Puccini’s , directed by Baz Luhrmann, was forced to cancel its matinee performance today (Wednesday, March 26) when a Con Edison-related problem in the area of 53rd Street between Broadway and Eighth Avenue forced the evacuation of the Broadway Theatre and a number of neighboring buildings.

Performances will resume this evening at 8pm.
