John Ellison Conlee, Rebecca Naomi Jones, Karen Olivo, and Will Swenson will star in the Manhattan Theatre Club’s production of Murder Ballad, to play New York City Center-Stage II, beginning on October 30. Trip Cullman will direct the production, which will open officially on November 15.
Written by Julia Jordan and Juliana Nash, Murder Ballad centers on Sara, an Upper West Side mom who seems to have it all, but whose downtown past lingers enticingly and dangerously in front of her.
The creative team includes Mark Wendland (scenic design), Jessica Pabst (costume design), Ben Stanton (lighting design), Leon Rothenberg (sound design), Doug Varone (movement), and Justin Levine (music director, vocal arranger and orchestrator).
