Justin Bartha and Elisabeth Reaser Celebrate Robert Askins' Permission at MCC Theater

MCC Theater celebrated its world-premiere production of Robert Askins' Permission on Tuesday, May 19. The production, directed by Alex Timbers, officially opens on May 20.
The play follows Eric and Cyndy, who have decided to follow the lead of their friends Zach and Shelley and make Christian Domestic Discipline the foundation of their marriage. But restructuring their lives and their union upends everything they knew about each other. Leading the company are Justin Bartha and Elizabeth Reaser, alongside Nicole Lowrance, Talene Monahon, and Lucas Near-Verbrugghe.
Permission runs through June 7 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, where it began previews on April 29. Askins is also the author of the Tony-nominated Hand to God, which was seen in 2014 at the Lortel. Check out TheaterMania's photos of the festivities in the gallery below.
