Julio Torres's Hit Off-Broadway Show Color Theories Will Air on HBO

Color Theories, written, performed, and directed by Julio Torres, will premiere on HBO on Friday, March 27, and will be available to stream on HBO Max.

Torres is a Peabody-winning, Brooklyn-based writer, director, and comedian. He earned four Emmy nominations for his work on Saturday Night Live and co-created and starred in Los Espookys and Fantasmas.

In Color Theories, which ran off-Broadway last year, Torres presents a guide to understanding the world through his playful interpretations of colors. In his review for TheaterMania, Zachary Stewart wrote, “He easily wins the crowd over with his dry but never condescending delivery as he invites us into his rich culture of one.”
