John Cullum, Amy Ryan, David Schwimmer Celebrate the Opening of Detroit

Playwrights Horizons celebrated the opening of Lisa D’Amour’s 2011 Pulitzer Prize finalist Detroit on Tuesday, September 18 with a post-performance party at the West Bank Cafe.

Anne Kauffman directs dark comedy, which focuses on the friendship between two sets of neighbor couples in an unnamed city. It stars Amy Ryan, David Schwimmer, Darren Pettie, Sarah Sokolovic, and John Cullum.

The production features scenic design by Louisa Thompson, costume design by Kaye Voyce, lighting design
by Mark Barton, and sound design by Matt Tierney.

Guests at the opening included Cassie Beck, Carolyn and Gene D’Amour, Paula DeRosa, Jonathan Fried, Peter Friedman, Sam Gold, Michael Greif, Shuler Hensley, Amy Herzog, Kent Nicholson, and Caitlin O’Connell.
