Opera legend Jessye Norman will publish a memoir entitled Stand Up and Sing!, according to The New York Times. The book will be from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, to come out in late 2013.
The artist has performed all over the world in some of opera’s most recognizable roles. Among her many awards are a 2006 Grammy for Lifetime Achievement and the National Medal of Arts, which was presented to her by President Barack Obama in 2009.
