All proceeds from sales of the Tony Awards bow ties benefit United States organizations fighting on behalf of LGBT civil rights.
Broadway veteran Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his husband, Justin Mikita, have created a special edition bow tie by "Tie the Knot for the Tie Bar" for the 2015 Tony Awards. This year’s design features light navy stars on a darker navy background.
"Tie The Knot" was founded to raise awareness and advocate on behalf of LGBT equality. All proceeds from sales of the tie will benefit United States organizations fighting on behalf of LGBT Civil Rights.
"I am so excited that Tie The Knot is partnering again for theater’s biggest night – all for a great cause!" said Jesse Tyler Ferguson in a statement.
The Tony Awards ceremony, which honors theater professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway, will be broadcast live on CBS from Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 7. Tony Award winners Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming will serve as hosts. The Tony Awards are presented by the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
