Oscar nominee and stage veteran Jesse Eisenberg will star opposite Mia Wasikowska in the upcoming film, The Double, according to Deadline.com.
Richard Ayoade will direct, and has co-written the screenplay with Avi Korine. The Double is inspired by Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s novella, and centers on a man driven close to madness by the appearance of his doppelganger.
Eisenberg received an Oscar nomination for his performance in The Social Network. His stage credits include the Off-Broadway productions of Scarcity and his own play, Asuncion.
