The multimedia work is about slavery, war, and freedom. The cast will include Nicole Beharie, Seth Gilliam, Patrice Johnson, James McDaniel, Joan MacIntosh, Lucas Papaelias, and Frederick Weller. The show will feature scenic design by Neil Patel, costume design by Emilio Sosa, lighting design by Lap Chi Chu, sound design by Dan Moses Schreier, and video design by Shawn Sagady.

Parks is the author of such works as Topdog/Underdog, The America Play, Venus, In the Blood, F…ing A, and the 365 Days/365 Plays Festival.
