James Corden, Stephen Sondheim Among Writers on Shortlist for Sheridan Morley Prize

The shortlist for the fifth annual Sheridan Morley Prize for Theatre Biography has been released, according to Whatsonstage.com. The winner of the award, which carries a £2000 cash prize, will be announced in a ceremony to be held on March 8 at the Garrick Club in London.

Among the nominees is Stephen Sondheim, who has been recognized for the second volume of his annotated lyrics, Look I Made a Hat. In addition, James Corden, who will star on Broadway this spring in One Man, Two Guvnors, has been shortlisted for his autobiography, May I Have Your Attention, Please?.

Also on the short list are performer/director/writer Steven Berkoff’s Tales From An Actor’s Life, actress Isla Blair’s A Tiger’s Wedding, and David and Caroline Stafford’s Fings Ain’t Wot They Used T’Be: The Lionel Bart Story.
