Photos from Man in Snow, a new play written and directed by Israel Horovitz, have been released. The work begins performances November 11 at La MaMa .
In the play, David, recently retired and mourning the loss of his young son, revisits Mt. McKinley in Alaska, a mountain he climbed at age 25. He's not climbing this visit. Instead he is guiding a group of Japanese honeymooners who hope to conceive a child under the spell of the Northern Lights.
The cast includs Will Lyman, Ron Nakahara, Paul O’Brien, Sandra Shipley, Ashely Risteen, and Francisco Solorzano. The production has lighting design by Niluka Hotaling, sound design by David Reiffel, scenic design by Jenna McFarland Lord, and costume design by Chelsea Kerl. Original music is by Julia Kent.
