Wilson stars alongside British stage vet Dominic West.
Tony winner Joanna Gleason (Into the Woods) will take on a recurring role in the second season of Showtime's Golden Globe-winning The Affair, according to published reports.
The actress, also seen onstage in Broadway's Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Roundabout's Sons of the Prophet, will take on the role of Yvonne, the editor in chief of a publishing label who's connected to Affair protagonist Noah Lockhart (played by Dominic West). The drama explores the extramarital affair between Manhattanite Noah and Montauk waitress Alison Bailey (played by Tony nominee and Golden Globe winner Ruth Wilson).
Gleason's several television credits include The West Wing, The Newsroom, The Good Wife, and Friends, among other shows. The Affair, which also stars Maura Tierney and Joshua Jackson, is created by Hagai Levi and playwright Sarah Treem (When We Were Young and Unafraid).
The show's first season premiered on October 6, 2014, and the second is expected to debut later in 2015.
