Even the grimmest soul doesn’t have a ghost of a chance to keep from laughing when watching Noel Coward’s clever comedy, Blithe Spirit, now at the Shubert Theatre.
Two-time Tony Award winner Michael Blakemore is at the helm of this revival, and he’s assembled a top-notch cast, including British film star Rupert Everett as writer Charles Condomine, Christine Ebersole and Jayne Atkinson as his wives, Elvira and Ruth, and the legendary Angela Lanbsury as the trouble-making medium Madame Arcati. TheaterMania recently attended the show’s meet-and-greet to get the inside scoop on this much-awaited production.
