Heated Rivalry: The Unauthorized Musical Parody to Open Off-Broadway With Jay Armstrong Johnson and Jimin Moon

Performances start May 12 for an eight-week run.

Producer and director Alan Kliffer announced that Heated Rivalry: The Unauthorized Musical Parody will have a fully staged run off-Broadway May 12-July 6, with an official opening night on May 26, at the 6th Floor Theater (formerly the McKittrick Hotel).

Written by Dylan MarcAurele (book, music, lyrics and orchestrations), the production inspired by the hit show about hockey will star Jay Armstrong Johnson as Ilya Rozanov and Jimin Moon as starry-eyed golden boy Shane Hollander.

The cast also features Ryann Redmond as Main Susan and others, Cherry Torres as Shane’s mom and others, and Ryan Duncan as Ilya’s dad and others. Jay Armstrong Johnson will not perform June 15-22.

Alan Kliffer directs the production and is joined in the creative team by choreographers Brooke and Tiffany Engen, scenic designer Sully Ross, costume designer Brendan McCann, lighting designer Devin Cameron, and sound designer Germán Martinez.
