Four-time Tony nominee Tovah Feldshuh and legendary lyricist Sheldon Harnick will headline The Museum of the City of New York’s benefit cabaret, Second Avenue Meets Broadway, to be held on Thursday, May 31 at 6:30pm. Michael Montel will direct.
Featuring songs in both Yiddish and English, the show will also feature performances by Gregg Edelman, Randy Graff, Stephen Mo Hanan, Rachel Ulanet and Stephanie Umoh.
Proceeds go to the Museum’s 2013 exhibition Second Avenue Meets Broadway, which will examine how the popularity and proliferation of Yiddish theater at the turn of the 20th century had a defining impact not only on the American Jewish experience, but also on mainstream entertainment.
