Chapin is the organization’s new artistic associate.
Goodspeed Musicals will welcome Anika Chapin to its staff in January. Chapin will serve as the organization's artistic associate, working with the producing team in developing new work and working with new writers.
Chapin most recently served as literary manager at Two River Theater, where she was in charge of finding and developing new work, and producing readings and workshops. She sits on the artistic advisory board of City Center Off-Center and the board of the Woodshed Theatre Collective.
Under the leadership of executive director Michael Gennaro, Goodspeed Musicals is dedicated to the preservation, development, and advancement of musical theater and is the first theater in the nation to receive two Tony Awards (for outstanding achievement). Goodspeed produces three musicals each season at the Goodspeed in East Haddam, Connecticut, and additional productions at the Terris Theatre in Chester.
