Tony Award and Oscar winner Geoffrey Rush will join actress Judy Davis, director Fred Schepisi, and moderator Annette Insdorf at the 92nd Street Y at 7:15pm on Wednesday, September 5 for a preview and discussion of the movie The Eye of the Storm, as part of the Y’s Reel Pieces series.
The movie, which has been adapted from the Nobel Prize-winning novel by Patrick White novel, tells the story of a matriarch (Charlotte Rampling) visited by the now-grown children that she treated with little love.
Rush won the Tony Award for Exit the King and his other stage credits include Diary of a Madman and The Drowsy Chaperone. He won the Oscar for Shine and received nominations for The King’s Speech, Quills, and Shakespeare in Love.
