It was announced late last night that the first Broadway preview of Taylor Mac's Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus will be postponed until Monday, March 11 at 8pm at the Booth Theatre. The production's official opening remains April 11.

Andrea Martin departed the cast of Gary earlier this week after breaking four ribs in an accident during rehearsals. Fellow cast member Kristine Nielsen, who was previously set to perform the role of Carol, subsequently assumed Martin's role of Janice, with Tony winner Julie White joining the company to take over the role of Carol. At that point, the production's first preview was postponed from Tuesday, March 5 to Saturday, March 9.

Starring three-time Tony Award winner Nathan Lane and directed by five-time Tony Award winner George C. Wolfe, Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus is set just after the blood-soaked conclusion of William Shakespeare's first tragedy, Titus Andronicus. The civil war has ended. The country has been stolen by madmen, and there are casualties everywhere — among them a midwife on the verge of death (White). And two very lowly servants (Lane and Nielsen) are charged with cleaning up the bodies. The year is 400 — but it feels like the end of the world.
