Full cast and creative team been announced for The Gallery Players’ production of Andrew Lippa’s musical The Wild Party, February 2-24. The production will be directed by Neal J. Freeman.
Adapted from a book-length poem about the Roaring Twenties, The Wild Party tells the story of Queenie and Burrs, a vaudeville couple when they decide to throw a party to end all parties, with tragic consequences. The show was originally produced in New York by Manhattan Theatre Club in 2000.
The cast includes Justin Birdsong, Julie Cardia, Rebecca Cox, Zak Edwards, Matthew Gray, Jonathan Hack, Tauren Hagans, Justin Herfel, Michael Jones, KC Leiber, Matthew Oaks, Jeremy Ritz, Julia Royter, Allie Schulz, Ashley Speigel, Nicole Sterling, Theis Weckesser, and Jennifer Wren.
The show’s creative team include Jeffrey Campos (music direction), Brian Swasey (choreography), Hannah Shafran (sets), Summer Lee Jack (costumes), and John Eckert (lighting). Freeman has previously directed the Gallery Players’ productions of The Learned Ladies, As You Like It, and The Laramie Project.
