
Full cast and creative team information has been announced for the world premiere of Laura Jacqmin’s 10 Virgins, which will conclude Chicago Dramatists’ 29th season. Directed by Russ Tutterow, the production will run April 23-June 1.
In the play, ten girls live alone in Wabansia swamp, depending on each other for protection and strength. When the oldest of the group leaves the bog, she comes face-to-face with her family’s past, as well as Jenny Greenteeth, the mysterious witch who haunts the swamps.
The production will star Chicago Dramatists associate artist Suellen Burton (Ilsebille), with guest artists Catherine Glynn (Märchen), Alison Lani (Rose), Morgan E. K. McNaught (Gretel), Rebecca Montalvo (Holle), and Penelope Walker (Jenny Greenteeth).
The creative team will include Brian Sidney Bembridge (scenic design), Jeff Pines (lighting design), Barry Bennett (sound design), Kerith Wolf (costume design), Allison J. Daniel (puppet director/design), and Lisa Johnson-Willingham (choreographer).
