Page 73 has announced full casting for its upcoming world premiere of Judy, a new play by 2012 P73 Playwriting Fellow Max Posner. Directed by Ken Rus Schmoll (Iowa), Judy will begin previews on September 1, 2015 at The New Ohio Theatre with an opening date set for September 10. The production is slated to run through September 26.
Judy will feature Frenie Acoba (Matilda The Musical), Luka Kain (South Pacific) and Marcel Spears (A Midsummer Night's Dream), who join previously announced cast members Deirdre O’Connell (By the Water), Birgit Huppuch (Blood Play), and Danny Wolohan (An Octoroon).
In Judy, it’s the winter of 2040, and the world has changed. The plot follows Timothy, whose wife has just left him. His sisters, Tara and Kris, are trying to help him cope while wrestling with their own lives and loves, but the three of them seem to spend a lot of time in their basements, and the kids are starting to ask questions.
Scenic design is by Arnulfo Maldonaldo, with lighting design by Eric Southern, sound design by Leah Gelpe, and costume design by Jessica Pabst.
