Flashback Friday: Rachel Bay Jones and Uzo Aduba Put Their Spin on The Secret Garden

Last weekend, The Secret Garden celebrated its 25th anniversary with a two-night Manhattan Concert Productions mounting at Lincoln Center's David Geffen Hall. As brothers Archibald and Neville Craven, Ramin Karimloo and Cheyenne Jackson blew the roof off the auditorium during their lovelorn duet of "Lily's Eyes." Their rendition is tough to top, but Rachel Bay Jones (Pippin, Dear Evan Hansen) and Uzo Aduba (Orange Is the New Black) give the boys a run for their money in this video from the 2014 Broadway Backwards concert. All this Secret Garden nostalgia already had us campaigning for a Broadway revival — maybe a gender-bending production of the musical could be just the ticket for the 2016-17 season.
