Signature Theatre has announced $30 student rush tickets for the final week of performances of F**king A, written by Pulitzer Prize winner Suzan-Lori Parks and directed by Jo Bonney. Student rush tickets will be sold for $30 when the ground floor box office opens each day until performance time. The tickets are available for purchase in person at 480 West 42nd Street and are subject to availability. Limit two tickets per person. Valid student ID must be presented at the time of purchase.

F**king A is one of two distinct modern-day remixes of Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter (the other titled In the Blood) that are being presented in tandem for the first time as the event Signature is calling The Red Letter Plays. In F**king A, Hester Smith, the revered and reviled local abortionist, hatches a plan to buy her jailed son’s freedom — and nothing will deter Hester from her quest. In this wild-eyed blend of story and song, Hester’s branded letter A becomes a provocative emblem of vengeance, violence, and sacrifice.

F**king A opened on September 11 in the Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at the Pershing Square Signature Center and runs through October 8, a week beyond its originally scheduled final performance. The cast for the extension week includes J. Cameron Barnett (The Emperor Jones), Marlene Ginader (Power), Joaquina Kalukango (The Color Purple), Tony Award nominee Marc Kudisch (Signature’s The Wayside Motor Inn), Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Christine Lahti (Chicago Hope), Donovan Mitchell (Six Degrees of Separation), Peter Romano (Shades of Blue), Elizabeth Stanley (On the Town), and Raphael Nash Thompson (Pericles).
