Fernandez, Hilsabeck, Mahowald, Strober, et al. Set for WBT’s Beauty and the Beast

Principal casting has been announced for the Westchester Broadway Theatre’s production of the musical Beauty and the Beast, April 24-August 2. The production will be directed and choreographed by Richard Stafford.

The cast will feature Rena Strober (Belle) and Joseph Mahowald (The Beast), along with Adolpho Blaire (Le Fou), Jonathan Burgard (Gaston), Talana Deshaies (Babette), Stacia Fernandez (Mrs. Potts), William Hartery (Cogsworth), Rick Hilsabeck (Lumiere), David Titus (Maurice), and Marguerite Willbanks (Madame de la Grande Bouche).

The creative team includes Angela Jamison (musical director), Peter Barbieri (sets), Matthew Hesmath (costumes), Andrew Gnoser (lighting), and Jon Hatton (sound). Stafford’s Broadway credits include In My Life and Aspects of Love, and he directed WBT’s productions of Gypsy, The Full Monty, and Cats.

Mahowald appeared on Broadway in Jekyll & Hyde, among other shows, and starred in WBT’s productions of Carousel, Gigi, and Sayonara. Strober has appeared on Broadway in Les Miserables.
