New York City
The new horror-comedy starts its run tonight in the Owen Theatre.
Feathers and Teeth, a new play by Charise Castro Smith, begins tonight at the Goodman Theatre.
Thirteen-year-old Chris has to face her biggest fear. It’s not a monster under the bed, a creature in the closet, or any evil beast. Instead, it’s a very real woman invading her home. This mystery woman moves in and begins to take over Chris’ once-perfect family life. Hinging on the fear of the unknown, the play examines Chris’s journey, even as it wonders if she’ll make it out alive.
Smith’s play is directed by Henry Godinez and features Jordan Brodess as Hugo, Ali Burch as Ellie, Olivia Cygan as Chris, Christina Hall as Carol, and Eric Slater as Arthur.
The creative team includes Kevin Depinet (set design), Christine Pascual (costume design), Jesse Klug (lighting design), Mikhail Fiksel (sound design), and Kimberly Osgood (stage manager).
Performances will run through October 18.
