Diana DeGarmo, Dee Hoty, Mamie Parris, et al. Set for 9 to 5 National Tour

Casting has been announced for the national tour of 9 to 5: The Musical, which will begin on September 21 at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville. Jeff Calhoun will direct and choreograph the touring production, and Lisa Stevens will serve as the show’s co-choreographer.

Based on the 1980 film of the same name about a trio of office workers who turn their tables on their sexist and egotistical boss, the show features a score by Dolly Parton, which includes her Academy Award-nominated title song, and a book by Patricia Resnick, co-author of the film’s screenplay.

The cast will feature Dee Hoty (Violet), Diana DeGarmo (Doralee), Mamie Parris (Judy), Joseph Mahowald, Jr. (Franklin Hart), and Kristine Zbornik (Roz), along with Jane Blass, Patrick Boyd, Paul Castree, Holly Davis, Janet Dickinson, Madeleine Doherty, Marjorie Failoni, Gregg Goodbrod, K.J. Hippensteel, Jesse J.P. Johnson, Michelle Marmolejo, April Nixon, Ryah Nixon, Rick Pessagno, Wayne Schroder, Micah Shepard, and Travis Waldschmidt.

The creative team will include Ken Foy (scenic design), William Ivey Long (costume design) and Ken Billington (lighting design), Steve Kennedy (sound design), Bruce Coughlin (orchestrations), and Stephen Oremus (music supervision).


Additional tour engagements include Atlanta, Chicago, Seattle, St. Louis, Tampa, Costa Mesa, Charlotte, St. Paul, Indianapolis, and Dayton.
