David Bedella, Beverly Rudd, Sandi Toksvig, and Hannah Waddingham will star in a benefit concert of the new musical Soho Cinders, according to a report on WhatsOnStage.com. The event will be held at the West End’s Queens Theatre, on Sunday, October 9 at 7:30pm.
Jonathan Butterell will direct the performance, which will benefit Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity devoted to improving the lives of teenagers and young adults with cancer.
Soho Cinders features music by George Stiles and lyrics by Anthony Drewe, with a book by Drewe and Elliot Davis. The satirical comedy centers on the complicated love life of prospective Mayoral candidate James Prince, his fiancée and his law-student lover, Robbie — who is paying his college bills in a somewhat unorthodox way.
The performance will also feature Sharon D Clarke, Clive Carter, Michael Xavier and Amy Lennox.
