Award-winning Broadway veterans Nina Arianda and Kathleen Chalfant lead the cast.
Complete casting has been announced for Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming world premiere production of David Grimm's Tales From Red Vienna, directed by Kate Whoriskey.
Joining the previously announced Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur) and Tony nominee Kathleen Chalfant (Wit) will be Tina Benko (Jackie), Michael Esper (American Idiot), Lucas Hall (Beyond Horizon), and Michael Goldsmith in his off-Broadway debut.
Tales From Red Vienna is a poetic new work that explores the effects of war on women. Set following World War I, it tells the story of Heléna (Arianda), who, in the struggle to maintain her lifestyle after losing her husband, becomes part of an illicit underworld, a secret that she must keep separate from her public persona.
The production begins performances February 26 in advance of a March 18 opening at New York City Center – Stage I.
