Clear the Decks: Gypsy to Stay Open

According to producer Robert Fox, “The outpouring of support for Gypsy has been remarkable. I am very proud of this production and I believe it should not close while there is an audience eager to see the extraordinary performances of Bernadette Peters and the entire company in Sam Mendes’ exceptional staging of what I believe is the greatest of all Broadway musicals.” Producer Ron Kastner added that “Everyone connected with the Gypsy company and the Shubert Organization immediately volunteered to help us get through this tough winter period. No one in the Broadway community expected this traditionally challenging season to be so rough. I’m thrilled that we have found a way to keep the Shubert lit with this fantastic show.”
